The Office of Proposal Development offers grant writing workshops for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students. These workshops focus on the grant writing process, effective ways to write and prepare grant applications, finding sources of funding using available databases, and other relevant topics. Based on the needs of the audience, workshops can vary in length, from one to three hours, and can be scheduled as a series of short talks. In addition, while we generally provide information that is applicable for a wide range of funding agencies and fields, we are able to tailor our workshops for particular audiences and interests.
If you are interested in scheduling a workshop for your department or group, please contact our office at (617) 636-2480 or email proposaldevelopment@tufts.edu. For individuals who would like to attend a grant writing workshop, please contact the Office of Proposal Development for a current list of upcoming workshops. You may also contact the Office of Proposal Development to subscribe to an e-list which announces workshops on your campus. While we cannot promise availability of a workshop at a specific time or campus location, there are often spaces available in targeted departmental grant writing workshops.
Annually the Office of the Vice Provost (OVP) sponsors a seminar given by Grant Writers' Seminars and Workshops on the topic of writing a successful proposal. If you wish to be notified via email of upcoming seminars, please contact Jeanne Eisenhaure at (617) 627-3834.
